“Former Spurs manager Gerry Francis is a world renowned expert on pigeons and an experienced pigeon fancier, and was even the adviser on the film Valiant, which told the heroic tale of carrier pigeons and their service for the armed forces. ‘The lives they’ve saved,’ said Francis, ‘It’s hard to comprehend’.”
